Baskhaus radio group is an original creation of Rebecca Feldhaus Adams and Shelly Baskin. Rebecca had been wanting to get back into great audio storytelling since her departure from WKMS-FM, the local NPR affiliate. Shelly (also a public radio junkie) heard the idea and jumped right in. The time and conditions were right to form BRG, which started as a broad idea and has transformed into a website, a 30-minute documentary series and constant collage of other audio treats and collaborative nuggets spanning the content.

With the creation of Just Next Door, BRG's 30-minute documentary series telling the stories you never heard from your community, Shelly and Rebecca had a series to hang their hat on. The audio tours, before-and-afters, art excursions and short docs offer shorter audio snippets that tell stories not currently being told.

BRG's mission is to tell great stories through audio with open ears to multimedia collaborations. We're an inclusive, story-driven collective of independent producers, artists and storytellers who want a place to share their work and engage with other artists for new projects. We reject the competitive attitude in large media. BRG is committed to curiosity, creativity and following hare-brained ideas to see where they lead.

While BRG is currently based in Murray, KY, the opportunities are endless. We've got contacts across the globe, and we're not waiting for air space to tell these stories. Connect with BRG on our Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/baskhaus and follow us on Twitter @baskhaus.
